Description

So had some sudden free time and instead of sleeping, I decided to finish this.  I like my messy style and Hashim hasnt had a hair cut here yet and is still recovering from the last battle. . : > So, it's time for another:

The aftermath of the defence of Angatoko was not a pretty sight. The 102nd suffered severe losses but had held the line. Only a quarter of the 1st company remain. Half of those who came with me to the city died, either fighting against CROSS  or vaporised by ORB's artillery.  2nd company only had one survivor. A. I wonder if he'll ever recover from that hell of an encounter against ORB infantry and machine-soldiers. 3rd Company fared better but lost a a lot of their armored vehicles. F.'s bravado, got him killed but saved the rest of us. He was an honorable man in the end. The pilots from 5th company did their best against the odds. I hope we'll find more live ones because the initial search and retrieval reports paint a grim picture.

We were down to our last mags when 4th company came along with National Guard reinforcements. It happened too fast. Helicopters gunning down beasts and Savana tanks facing ORB heavies... And then silence. Then the cries of pain.  I found myself in the triage center, surrounded by the men and women under my command. Many of them lost their limbs. I got away with only a broken leg and a gun wound to the gut. They say I won't be in the frontlines any time soon.

That debacle on Angatoko, that device we found. That Star Knight whose name I can't quite recall.

I've approved Z.I.'s request to act independently. I need to know what ORB has up its sleeve. Ceasefire be damned.

Good stuff.  I also like the colour scheme you chose for the troops; always something that seems a lot easier until you start painting stuff.
